Full denture

False teeth are required when the person has lost all their natural teeth along one jaw line, either through tooth decay or sometimes genetic conditions. Buy preparing a set of full dentures, the person is able to eat and speak normally and the lips and cheeks will be supported, preventing the facial collapse seen in some cases where people have lost their teeth.

To make a set of full dentures an impression of the mouth is made and then the dentures are made specifically for that patient so they fit comfortably over the gums and resemble the person’s natural teeth as much as possible.  It takes around 3 days to prepare and fit the dentures, however if it is necessary to remove some remaining teeth first then the dentures cannot be fitted for about 6 to 8 weeks while the mouth heals. Temporary dentures can be fitted in the meantime.

Your Abroad dentist will advise you on how to use and care for your dentures but as long as they are fitted correctly, there should be little difficulty in getting use to your new teeth.
